The Birches, Chesterfield
The Birches provides a specialised service developed to support the specialist mental health needs of service users aged 18 years and upward.
Currently operated by Craegmoor, the service is designed to assist in the slow integration and rehabilitation back into the community and also incorporates a more independent two-bedroom rehabilitation area to allow users to develop their independence in a safe environment.
The Birches consists of a large detached House with five individual en-suite bedrooms with full disabled access to the ground floor. There is a large kitchen with separate utility and dining rooms, and a large lounge. There is also a two bedroom flat area, which provides greater independence for suitable individuals. This features a kitchen diner area and bathroom suite.
The building is decorated with an up-to-date but homely finish and provides a safe and secure environment for all residents. Outdoors there are enclosed gardens and landscaped areas which can be enjoyed when the weather is nice. The building has been built to meet CQC standards, HTM84 fire regulations and all statutory building regulations.
